GUITAR NIGHTS: Performing and Technique with Jeremy Waldrip

Playing music for other people is one of the most special and rewarding things we can do as musicians. But for so many of us, performing for an audience can seem daunting and unreachable, which can keep us from even trying. In this class, we will demystify the art of performing and develop comfort with this incredible skill so that we can feel confident sharing our music with others.

Our Spring 2026 Workshop sessions will take place from 6:30pm to 8pm at The Rosette on the following dates:

Session 1: Wednesday, February 18
Session 2: Wednesday, February 25
Session 3: Wednesday, March 11
Session 4: Wednesday, March 25
Session 5: Wednesday, April 8
Session 6: Wednesday, April 15
Session 7: Wednesday, April 22
Session 8: Wednesday, April 29

In our eight sessions together, we will:

  • Engage in manageable performance experiences to build our confidence on stage
  • Develop practice habits that help us prepare for performances
  • Build a healthy mindset and strategy for executing a successful performance
  • Develop skills and routines in technique and music theory at your own pace.

Our workshop will conclude with a friendly recital to help celebrate the progress made during this workshop, and will also serve as an opportunity to invite friends and family to watch and listen to you and your comrades make beautiful music onstage!

Participants will have ample opportunities to share their music and their experiences performing in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment, including multiple open mic style performances in addition to the above course schedule where you will be able to directly apply your work in this class to real performances. Visit our Open Mic page for more information and a list of Open Mic dates.

We hope to see you there!
