Season Opener with Grisha

Saturday, September 27th at Troublemaker Studios
6pm – Celebration in Iron City
8pm – Concert

One of the world’s most astonishing flamenco guitarists, Grisha returns to Austin to ignite Spark, our 2025–26 season, as this year’s Artist-in-Residence.

Our 35th season opens with a spectacular night of flamenco at the legendary filmmaker Robert Rodriguez’s Troublemaker Studios. Rodriguez has made many global film sensations including Spy KidsEl Mariachi, and Sin City.

We’ll kick off the evening at 6:00 with a party in Iron City, the massive film set created for the James Cameron–produced action feature Alita: Battle Angel (2019, dir. Robert Rodriguez). Savor paella and sangria from Flavor Co as you explore the streets of this stunning five-block futuristic cityscape, accompanied by live performances from Austin Flamenco Academy and Crockett High School’s Mariachi de Oro.

As the sun sets, we’ll head to the soundstage for an unforgettable performance by Grisha.

Join us for an evening of music, celebration, and transformation as we launch a season devoted to the spark of inspiration.

Please note: This event is indoor/outdoor and includes walking and some steps. We have accommodations for guests with limited mobility. Please reach out by email or call 512-300-2247.
