On Creativity: The Creative Process with Robert Rodriguez

When we envisioned The Rosette, we hoped it would be a place for creativity and community, a place to experience real things in real time. We hoped it would be part of an answer to Austin’s challenge with disappearing arts venues, a space to reflect and enjoy the significance of beauty and expression.

As part of this hope we’ve launched a new interview series called On Creativity. In the show, ACG’s Matt Hinsley sits down with people who have changed the world with their art to explore one secret they’ve learned living a creative life.

Our first episode, released in November, featured guitar legend and ACG’s 2024-25 Artist-in-Residence, Pepe Romero. In their conversation, Matt and Pepe reflected on the power of gratitude.

Matt recently sat down with cinematic icon Robert Rodriguez for a fascinating conversation about the creative process and that’s what we’re sharing with you today!
