Peruvian born guitarist and composer Jorge Caballero is widely recognized as one of the most important guitarists of our time.
Jorge has been with ACG for some of our most thrilling adventures over the years. His performances of orchestral works on solo guitar such as Dvorak’s New World Symphony and Mussorgsky’s Pictures at an Exhibition are monumental musical experiences.
Since his first solo recital at age thirteen, Jorge has given numerous concerts throughout the world, including performances at Lincoln Center, Carnegie Hall and the Library of Congress, and as a soloist with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, Orchestra of St. Luke’s, New York’s Chamber Ensemble, and Turkey’s Presidential Symphony. He has also collaborated with the Mendelssohn and the Miró String Quartets, with soprano Theresa Santiago, and flutists Stefán Ragnar Höskuldsson and Carol Wincenc.
Special thank you to artist Adrian Landon Brooks and to Big Medium for being our program partner!
