Beginning Guitar
No experience is required for this fun and informative introduction to the classical guitar.
Classes will take place on Tuesday evenings from 6:00-7:00pm for 8 weeks, starting on February 7th and wrapping up on April 4th (class will not meet on March 14th). All classes will meet in the Lobby of the Rosette.
Intermediate Guitar
This class is the perfect fit for adult students who have taken the Beginning Guitar Class, or who already have some basic classical guitar skills, and are eager to learn more in a fun, no pressure group setting.
Students will build new skills, such as reading in 1st and 5th position, learn ascending and descending scales and arpeggios, practice performing musically, dive into the next level of ensemble and solo music, and even give a performance at the end of the class!
Classes will take place on Tuesday evenings from 7:15-8:15pm for 8 weeks, starting on February 7th and wrapping up on April 4th (class will not meet on March 14th). All classes will meet in the Lobby of the Rosette.
Advanced Guitar
This class is the perfect fit for adult students who have taken the Intermediate Guitar Class, or who already have some basic classical guitar skills, and are eager to learn more in a fun, no pressure group setting.
Students will focus primarily on learning solos in the Classical Guitar standard repertoire, in addition to ensemble music. Students will also continue their work on scales and arpeggios, and will continue their work on reading in the upper positions of the guitar.
Classes will take place on Wednesday evenings from 6:00-7:00pm for 8 weeks, starting on February 1st and wrapping up on May 3rd (see below for full list of session dates). All classes will meet in the Lobby of the Rosette.

Session 2: Wednesday, February 15th
Session 3: Wednesday, February 22nd
Session 4: Wednesday, March 15th
Session 5: Wednesday, March 22nd
Session 6: Wednesday, March 29th
Session 7: Wednesday, April 12th
Session 8: Wednesday, May 3rd
Interspersed throughout the Advanced Guitar session will be three opportunities for Open Mic performances at the Rosette.
What to bring
Participants will need to bring their own nylon-string classical guitar and a footstool. We have a limited number of guitars available to borrow – if you’re interested, please mention it in the “Comments” field when you register below. For those who would like to purchase their own instruments, we recommend any local music store.
