Jacqueline Rixen

Jacqueline is a long-standing ACG fan and board member. She is the current board president after serving as board secretary and on the nominating/governance committee for several years.  Jacqueline’s enthusiasm for ACG springs from her love of classical guitar and the innovation ACG manifests with programs that are not normally associated with arts organizations — guitar education for incarcerated youth, GuitarCurriculum.com, an online curriculum for music educators worldwide, programs for the blind and visually impaired, and tapping into the healing power of music with the Lullaby Project and Music and Healing program initiatives.

As the owner of RixenLaw, Jacqueline counsels entrepreneurs, business owners, nonprofits, and insurance entities about legal transactions, organizational matters, and corporate governance.  Her clients value the solid legal services and personal attention they receive from her. Jacqueline is a 1986 Baylor Law graduate, and 1983 Baylor honors graduate in economics. She has lived in Austin since 1987.

Jacqueline is also a member and former board president of Impact Austin, a collective women’s philanthropy organization that has contributed almost $7 million to area nonprofits in the last 16 years.
