Learn Classical Guitar at Google HQ – No Experience Needed

Take a break from work for an hour and join us at Google to make some music together! The classical guitar is one of the most beautiful and approachable instruments to learn. With its warm, expressive tone and comfortable nylon strings, it’s perfect for beginners. In this engaging 10-session course, you’ll start making music right away while developing the fundamental skills that will set you on a path to confident playing. No prior experience is needed—just bring your curiosity and a love for music.

Course Details

Our Beginning Class meets Wednesdays from 10:30–11:30am, October 1 through December 10 (no class November 26). This is the perfect place to start your guitar journey—no experience needed, just bring your curiosity and love of music! You’ll learn the fundamentals in an inspiring and supportive environment.

Our Returning Class meets Wednesdays from 11:30am–12:30pm, October 1 through December 10 (no class November 26). This class is designed for students who have already completed Arnold’s Beginning Class. This class builds on the basics and gives you the chance to keep growing your skills, explore new music, and stay connected with our creative guitar community.

All classes take place at Google’s beautiful downtown headquarters, 500 W 2nd St, Austin, TX 78701. Course registration is $200.

What You’ll Need

To participate, you’ll need a six-string classical guitar (nylon-string), a footstool, and a wire music stand.
